Search O’Kelly Library’s Online Catalog and Databases for Business Plans
The Online Catalog

1. Go to WSSU’s home page at http://www.wssu.edu.
2. Select Library from the Quick Jump menu.
3. Click on Library Catalog in the Research column on the library’s home page.
4. Conduct a keyword search for business plan. One of the titles with sample business plans is Business Plans Handbook (Reference HD30.28.P5766 2006).
Online Databases
NetLibrary—a database of electronic books
1. Click on Browse Databases in the Research column on O’Kelly library’s home page.
2. Click on N under Browse Databases by Title on the next screen.
3. On the following screen, select NetLibrary from the list of databases that begin with N.
4. On the NetLibrary home page, select keyword from the search type menu, and conduct a search for business plan.
5. A list of books titles will appear on the next screen. Click on the link View this eBook to read the book online.
6. To “check out” a book to read for several hours, you must create an account and log in. You can browse for a shorter period without creating an account.
7. To create an account, click on Create a Free Account at the upper right of the NetLibrary home page.
8. Once you have “checked out” a book, to “turn” the pages, click on Next at the upper right of the screen.
Small Business Resource Center
1. Click on Browse Databases in the Research column on O’Kelly Library’s home page.
2. Click on S under Browse Databases by Title on the next screen.
3. On the following screen, select Small Business Resource Center from the list of databases that begin with S.
4. Click on the Sample Business Plans tab on the database home page.

Other Resources
Microsoft 2007
1. Access Microsoft Word.
2. Click the Microsoft Office Button at the top left of the screen.
3. Click on New in the menu that appears.
4. Type business plans in the search box at the top of the screen that appears, and submit the search.
5. On the next screen, double click on the plan you want to download.
Small Business Administration
1. Go to http://www.sba.gov/
2. Submit a search for sample business plans at the upper right of the screen
3. Scroll down the results screen, and click on the link Small Business Administration-Write a Business Plan.
4. On the next screen, click on the link to sample business plans.
